the time machine theory at 10:45 is wrong. Because the time machine is likely invented 50 million years ago on another planet. for these beings, when they arrive to our planet 50 million years into the future, (Present time for us), they could go back in time to say 50 years ago, to see what happened. They could take one of us with them to see how it is, then go back.

So far, what we can say with confidence is that travelling into the future is achievable, but travelling into the past is either wildly difficult or absolutely impossible.

McKenna predicted something would happen in 2012 but he never said exactly what that was. He just said that was when we reached peak novelty in December of 2012. Meaning the most novel/strange/unlikely event in Earth’s history would happen and it would end history as we know it. He then speculated on different things that could be, like the invention of time travel.
But to give Terence some credit there was something that happened in 2012 that fits this description as “the end of history”
2012 is when the personalized algorithms was invented by Google and implemented across all social media shortly after that. I argue that this single event effectively ended history. Now no one lives in the same world anymore and it’s only been 12 years. In that short time nearly everyone is trapped in their own media bubble. Every child of getting a personalized version of human history through these new mediums. Nothing like this has ever happened in human history and the longterm consequences have yet to be fully felt. The world that existed before these algorithms is gone forever.
It’s an odd coincidence that Terence discovered a math algorithm in the I-Ching and it actually predicted the coming of the social algorithms that revolutionized human history for ever man woman and child.
