In this video, Professor Simon Holland reveals a groundbreaking discovery made by SETI over 20 years ago: evidence of a technological alien civilization. Initially kept confidential, this information is now being disclosed. Holland explains how the SETI@home project, involving millions of volunteers, helped detect a non-human technological signal. Discover the astonishing details about this discovery, the role of the United Nations, and what it means for our understanding of extraterrestrial life.

It must be the stereo system in that crazy star wars bar with all the strange creatures that have noses like elephants. I like Watching Mexicans sometimes
My cousin, Christopher Chyba, held the Sagan Chair at the SETI Institute
We had SETI at home on our computer in the 1990s
As an Australian I’m fairly sure my country didn’t do shit without the Yanks permission lol
There are some problems with this new information, that somebody has found a technosignature:
1. The professor mixed too many topics together with articles, that has nothing to do with the original new information.
2. He provides links to an inactive Breakthrough Listen organisation. Their last update is almost a year old without updating their staff board.
3. He mentioned a person from Italy, who made the breakthrough and found the signature but no relevant article or name is provided.
4. One anomaly in data is not enough and btw if you have the same data and same method, you get the same results and it doesn’t matter how many data processors were included.
So… really… honestly… did you expect anything different….?
Science is NEVER absolute. There are only degrees of confidence. In other words, you might hear (paraphrased for simplicity’s sake) “We’re not saying it was aliens, but we’re 99.9% confident it’s aliens.”
Hmmm…. Scientists like Avi Loeb or Michio Kaku always said: “We need to find evidence…We need facts. We need….we need…we need…”. Why did all these people never heard of this kind of proof before? Or isn´t is a proof? Or were they all in the know and shut up as government does for ages now? And why don´t all worlds telescopes check the area found for more signals?
It damned always feels like: “OH! We found something there!” “Oh, yes. Let´s take a look somewhere else.”, instead of taking a closer look to what we found. This really sucks.
Fake, unless Jeff Goldblum says something about a signal, a cold, and checkmate or something.
