Why hasn’t anyone said it yet ? As a pilot you are responsible for the safety of people, cargo and or weapons. If there is even have a vague possibility your judgement has been compromised, you’ll find you won’t be flying planes no more and that’s just about insurance cover and your employer not getting sued in court. That’s the main reason.
