My wife and I saw our first one last week. It was a long way up in clear early evening sky. It was just a bright white slightly translucent light initially, I didn’t think much of it. But as we were looking it suddenly split into seven round lights and spread out in a ( shape. The inner lights became colored, but I think they were separate colors. Very translucent. Odd coloring. Then it seemed to pull itself back to the original single light shape, only slightly translucent again, and didn’t change. I videoed it after that and in the video it seems to attempt to split, but doesn’t. Was cool anyway.

I saw a similar light just a few weeks ago. I woke up in the middle of the night and just glanced out the window and saw a bright light above the tree line, like the color in this video. I got up and watched it. It passed almost directly over my house. Couldn’t make out any shape, just the really bright light. When it passed over, I could hear a low pitched oscillating hum. It definitely wasn’t a helicopter. I was in the military and would hear helicopters on an slmost daily basis. Plus, for the past ten years, I lived a block away from a hospital that had life-flight rescue. Don’t know why. I guess I was too tired to grab my camera and run outside.

Same type of thing here in South Africa. Our mines security camera caught it on film (black and white though so can’t say the colour changing aspect was the same. But definitely spherical and moving slowly seemed to be fluid like. Might have been the size of a large SUV.
