Interviewing cast and crew behind the scenes on UFO, this documentary lifts the lid on Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s first venture into live action science fiction.
For those of you new here, we’re all about celebrating the amazing universe of Gerry Anderson, the legendary creator of Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Space:
Used to terrify me.
My final comment of one of the UK made by the legendary Gerry Anderson live action series UFO made in 1970 I was a little boy growing up in the 70s and this series has became part of me until this present day even in 2025 timeless masterpiece a UK made Sci fi series nearly 55yrs old a head of it’s time
Im 62, born in 62. UFO, for me, was spectacular. I was – and remain – a Century 21/Anderson addict.
Captain Scarlet and The Mysterons was ground breaking, then UFO raised the bar. Ed Bishop was a tremendous actor. UFO was excellently cast.
I still have the Dinky Interceptor, in its original box. Golden memories.
good
Lovely to hear Ed Bishop was a top bloke!
Whenever I see Psychobombs written or spoken I immediately think of Vladek Sheybal saying it like “PSYYYYYYYYYYYCHOBOMBS!”
Excellent documentary. Surprised there was nothing about the sound effects or the intro theme. There’s a topic to be explored, across all Anderson shows. Stand by for action…
This was excellent! Many thanks. I see that one person involved in making this is calked Chris Drake- any relation to Gabrielle Drake I wonder?
