UFO OR NO? Mysterious lights were spotted over the coast of southern California Sunday night, as footage posted to social media shows.
Videos shared by several Twitter users in San Diego show two orange lights falling through the sky, leaving a trail behind them. The lights appear to be flares.
Similar flares have been seen periodically over southern California and are generally attributed to U.S. military exercises. San Diego is home to three naval bases, including Naval Air Station North Island, along with Coast Guard Air Station San Diego and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
