2024年 It happened! The biggest mass UFO sighting in Australia! And this man was there!

Almost 60 years ago, the largest mass UFO sighting in the Southern Hemisphere took place. Two hundred schoolchildren witnessed UFOs flying over the Melbourne suburb of Westall.
Then, one of them landed.
And I interviewed one of the witnesses.

Adelaide sighting 1995:
I’m a Cyber Security program manager with a life long interest in science, history and aerospace based in Sydney, Australia. I had a UFO encounter in Adelaide, Australia my home city in 1995, I was 23. It was on a Sat night around 7pm and I was with a mate in the car park at Flinders University. My friend had gone into the Uni to enrol in a martial arts class and I was waiting in the car listening to the radio. The radio announcer mentioned unusual lights had been recently seen flying in the sky in the southern suburbs, then about 5 mins later said the strange lights were now being seen over the northern suburbs. At this point I thought these could be UFO sightings and I was keen to investigate. When my friend returned, I told him about the lights and we agreed to change our plans for the night and drive up into the Adelaide hills to a lookout that had clear views of large parts of the city. We stayed at the lookout for a couple of hours and didn’t see anything, got bored and decided to drive back to my friends apartment in Kurralta Park and hangout. Around 11pm, I decided to go home, and walked down to the open air car park at the rear of the apartment block (2 levels in a U shape). As I approached my car I sensed something and looked up at the night sky to see 4 glowing boomerang objects hovering directly above me, no more than 30 metres high. The objects were in a circular formation and appeared to be around 3 metres long at the widest point. They were glowing white and would slowly spiral inwards and then outwards and repeat. They made no sound, no signs of any other objects in the sky nearby. No signs of it being a projection. They appeared solid. I stared at them for about 10 seconds and then ran back to my friend’s apartment and nearly knocked his door down. He came out asking what all the fuss was about and after I told him the UFOs were directly above his apartment, he grabbed his SLR film camera and we both ran downstairs to see them. They had now drifted from the rear car park to the entrance of the apartment block driveway in the same formation and making the spiraling motion. My friend took lots of photos and with all the noise we were making, a neighbour came out of their apartment to see what all the noise was about and I looked at him and shouted “check out the UFO!!” pointing at them, when I looked back to see them, they had disappeared. My friend and I then went back to his apartment and discussed what we had just seen. We were both convinced we’d seen the lights the radio had spoken about earlier and that we’d seen UFOs. We were understandably very excited and couldn’t sleep, so we decided to go to the university library (open until very late) and research what we’d seen. We found a book on ancient symbols and found a match to the spiraling boomerangs we’d seen. The explanation was that the symbol meant “Peace”. This was a night I’ll never forget. For years I had the original negatives of the photos that my friend took on the night. Not sure where they are now. We both wondered what were the odds that the UFOs were directly hovering low over his apartment, when we’d been searching for them earlier and not seen anything. Its almost as if they somehow sensed we were looking for them!!

I don’t give much weight to the Ariel school incident, the kids *could* have been manipulated by the interviewer and their stories aren’t *that* close.

But this one has always seemed credible. The inclusion of adults in the sighting makes it so much more believable. It’s a shame it doesn’t get the same coverage, this will certainly help.
